Amy joined Murray Hughman as a Trainee Solicitor in November 2023 and has passed the SQE 1. She will sit the SQE 2 exams in the summer, the final hurdle to qualification.
Amy assists in serious and complex crime. Her caseload includes serious sexual allegations, drug offences and complex fraud however, she is motivated to develop knowledge in all areas of criminal law. She is completing her Police Station Accreditation and represents clients at the police station.
Prior to starting her training contract, Amy completed a degree in languages and speaks fluent French and Spanish. She went on to complete an LLM with a distinction grade at BPP Law School. Amy’s interest in criminal law was piqued when she completed work-experience following a multi-handed murder trial, at the Central Criminal Court.
Amy is eager to offer guidance to aspiring lawyers along their journey into the legal profession and has recently joined GROW as a mentor. GROW is a charity that pairs legal professionals with aspiring lawyers, offering them practical advice towards their legal careers. This is an initiative that Amy is passionate about.
