**ANNOUNCEMENT** Iceland trek postponed
R v Richard House and Marcus Blackett at Cheltenham Magistrates Court – 2023
Andy was instructed to represent two psychological therapists who had been convicted in their absence of breaching coronavirus regulations during a period of national lockdown by protesting by walking around their local town in Stroud wearing sandwich boards, inviting members of the public passing by to engage them in conversation.
Upon instructing Andy, he was able to persuade the Court to set aside those convictions and fines and re-open the case with a fresh trial ordered.
Following representations to the CPS, the prosecution would later discontinue the case against both clients, shortly before their new Trial date.
Hannah Thomas of 2 Hare Court chambers was instructed Counsel.
