Katie represented her client who was accused of assisting another offender, accused of murder.

The murder occurred after a failed attempt to burgle a residential cannabis factory, and Katie’s client allegedly drove his co-defendants away from the scene of the fatal stabbing. Through tough negotiation with the Crown Prosecution Service, a basis of plea was advanced and accepted. As a result, Katie’s client was sentenced for assisting an offender to an aggravated burglary, and having meticulously prepared her client’s mitigation, he received a custodial term of 2 years, wholly suspended for 24 months.
